The Practical Occupational Therapist

The Practical Occupational Therapist

Hello, my name is Chris and I have been an OT since 2001.  I work in a hospital on an acute rehab unit.  My main motivations for starting this blog and virtual store was because I was recovering from a congenital heart defect that required open heart surgery, and writing is highly therapeutic for me.  It gave me a reason to get up in the morning.  I have learned over the years how important we as OTs really are.  Sometimes a heart surgery can remind one of that.  Therefore, my motivation is to spread the word on how skilled we really are, or can be.  I want to be able to help people understand research and research concepts, and how to apply it into practice.  This truly has been a labor of love and I hope that you can find my guides useful. They're packed with tips and tricks and all my knowledge that I have picked up over the years. Dive on in... Happy reading... Enjoy!
